2013年 11月 21日 Japan? America?

Which universities are more strict, Japanese or American?

Hello, again. It’s Kazu. I want to share my experience studying in America.

I think everybody knows that American universities are strict. It is often said that Japanese universities are difficult to get in to but easy to graduate, and American universities are the opposite. I agree that this is really true.

I majored in dance, but of course I needed to take academic classes. I met a great teacher and some classmates there. In the academic classes, I had a great opportunity to meet other major’s students. However, there was a very strict rule. If you were 5 minutes late, the teacher would mark you absent. If you are absent three times, you can’t pass the class…

Three degrees have a 90 minutes class twice a week. I was assigned to do a seven-page essay once a week. This was hard for me, so I asked for assistance for a teacher, advisor and friends. Everybody helped me so, so much. Everybody cheered me up, and the teacher praised me. This was an incentive for me to study, and I could progress my English ability so so much.

How do you feel about this topic? Which way do you like better? I want you to think about this topic.

This is the end today. I’m looking forward to seeing you again!!
