2013年 10月 4日 The big gap in indonesia

Hello! This is Honoka Fukui, a couching adviser.
Today, I’d like to tell about food in indonesia, and feeling Japan in indonesia.
(If you wonder why I went to Indonesia, Please look my articles I wrote before)

In indonesia, I found the differences Indonesian and Japanese cuisin.

First, I could find fried food much more than in Japan.
That’s because of its climate.
Look at the graph below.
Every day it’s very hot there.
I was said by local people “In this country, many raw food are likely to get worse fast.
So we fry everything we eat for safety”

Second, I could find that almost all food were labeled “Halal mark” .(Look at below the picture)
That’s because of their religion.
Most of indonesian people(actually about 90%) are Muslim.
They can’t eat pork.
“Halal mark” represents “this is safe from the Islamic taboo”,so Muslim people are relieved to buy it.

Thanks to these differences, I could feel Indonesia.
The differences make me feel Japan.
That’s interesteing!!

I recommend you to try something new!
That makes you find yourself.

Have a nice day!

Honoka Fukui
