2013年 9月 15日 the calm before the storm…

Hello everyone! It is Taro again (still my third post) from Toshin Business school!

2 days ago, I wrote a post on how the weather in Tokyo is still like summer, but don’t you think the weather today was a little bit weird today in Tokyo?

It is all over the news in Japan that a typhoon is approaching from the south and its going to inflict a serious damage on Japanese infastructure. However, Tokyo’s weather today didn’t remind anything of typhoon.

It was actually quiet sunny during the day and it is still (hopefully) sunny outside!

People on the street were saying, “Is this 嵐の前の静けさ?!” in Japanese. In English there is a similar phrase, except it’s said “it is the calm before the storm”.

The phrase itself is pretty similar to Japanese isn’t it? Try using it to your foreign friends sometime in the near future if you didn’t know this phrase!

Hope the typhoon decides to stray away from its course because I’m leaving for CHICAGO tomorrow and it’s not going to be great if a huge typhoon was hanging around in the area…

I’ll make sure I’ll post something about my trip to Chicago when I come back!

But till then, See you all!
